Farm Saved Seed

As a result of the termination of the prior use exemption in relation to farm saved
seed of the older varieties protected by UK Plant Variety Rights, Cygnet PB have
decided to introduce a standard condition of sale for all varieties in their portfolio.
This condition is designed to ensure that equitable reward for the use of protected
varieties is paid by all users. This is essential for the continued development of
new cultivars which benefit all producers and consumers in the potato supply chain.
Saxon,
Rocket, Navan, Isle of Jura, Bambino, Cabaret, Carlingford, Midas and Sierra are
all now subject to FSS royalties.
